Early Performance Feedback

Each fall and spring semester, instructors in entry level courses have the opportunity to participate in the Early Performance Feedback process.

At approximately the 5th week of the semester, participating instructors can submit information for each of their students into their Canvas grade book indicating (Yes or No) whether the student is meeting current expectations for succeeding in the course.  Because of the number of students involved, approximately 12,000, it needs to be very simple.  Select students have additional information requested through a separate Progress Reporting campaign.

This information is collected and shared with students, academic advisors, residence hall staff, and other student support staff. Staff members reach out to students who have received one or more reports of not meeting class expectations to inform them of campus resources that can help them turn their academic progress around.
